About Hicks
Dee Hicks, MSN, APRN, CNM, is a Certified Nurse Midwife passionate about providingcompassionate, evidence-based, and holistic care to women through every stage of life. Originally from Louisiana, Dee brings over nine years of labor and delivery experience across the DFW metroplex, allowing her to connect deeply with patients from all walks of life.
From a young age, Dee felt a powerful calling to midwifery and women’s health. That passion has only grown—shaped by her clinical training and strengthened through community outreach focused on education and access to care. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing with a Midwifery specialization from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, where she trained in both traditional and integrative care models.
Dee provides comprehensive women’s health services, including:
- Well-woman exams
- Prenatal and postpartum care
- Contraceptive counseling
- STD screening and treatment
- Evaluation and management of abnormal uterine bleeding
She is also trained in unmedicated, physiologic birth and holds certification in Spinning Babies® techniques, supporting optimal fetal positioning and comfort during labor.
Dee is known for her calm presence, nurturing nature, and deep respect for patient autonomy. She partners with each patient to create a safe, affirming space—listening without judgment, honoring individual choices, and empowering through education and support.
Outside the clinic, Dee enjoys spending time with her spouse and son. You’ll often find them working out, cooking, watching football, playing board games, or enjoying the outdoors together.
Dee is honored to support women and families through life’s most meaningful transitions and is committed to delivering expert, culturally sensitive care every step of the way.
